Prova cabal de que os Langs americanos são tão prodigiosos e tão ou mais complexos que os alemães, porque estão aqui a vingança (e o ódio e o homicídio), a "caça ao homem" e o triângulo amoroso mais intensamente complexo dos anos 50. E porque 2 anos antes de "Johnny Guitar" já se ouvia falar em "spinning" e em "wheels" e já se tinha uma mulher (e que mulher) como elemento catalisador de TUDO, num Western. Claro que são ambos essenciais, mas permitam-me a preferência por este aqui (a memória a isso obriga). Ah, e antes do "High Noon" e de "Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darlin", houve uma canção de créditos que "tudo" disse sobre o seu filme...
